Location of the Visitor Center
The starting point of your historical exploration, the Visitor Center, is comfortably nestled at 223 North Main Street, Independence, Missouri. This is your first stop in a journey back in time to the life and home of Harry S Truman.
Directions from North or South
If you're journeying from the north or south, set your course for I-435. From there, you'll need to take exit 60 to Truman Road, also known as State Hwy 12. Continue travelling east on this route for three miles, where you'll encounter the Truman Home at Delaware Street.
Directions from East or West
For those adventuring from the east or west, take I-70 to the Noland Road exit, numbered as exit 12. From there, head north on Noland Road for four miles until you reach Truman Road. Turn west onto Truman Road and proceed for two blocks. You'll find the Truman Home located five blocks west of the Visitor Center.
