Take the I-20/59 NE exit towards Atlanta. Keep an eye out for the 17th Street Exit - it's the first one off of I-20/59. Follow the exit and keep to the right, proceeding until you reach the traffic light.</p> <h2>Onwards to the Monument</h2> <p>From the traffic light, progress two blocks until you reach 6th Avenue N. Turn right onto 6th Avenue N. The path to history is just a block away - the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute will be on your left. Take a moment to soak in the atmosphere of this pivotal location in the civil rights movement.</p> <h2>A.G. Gaston Motel</h2> <p>While you're in the area, you might be drawn to the A.G. Gaston Motel, a significant landmark located in Birmingham, AL 35203. Please note, the interior of the Motel is currently not open to the public.
